Conditions and provisions for participants
The board has established regulations for both the race and the tour. The regulations available on this page are subject to change.
Race regulations
To participate in the Elfstedentocht race, a selection process is held. You must, of course, be a member of the Royal Association of the Friesian Eleven Cities.

Tour regulations
For the tour, the Tour Regulations apply. In addition to the rules for participation, you will also find information on topics such as the closing times of the checkpoint stations. Participants skate the Elfstedentocht at their own risk. In addition to yourself, your skating equipment (including the mandatory helmet) must also be in excellent condition.
