Jan Bakker from Wijnjewoude will be the new chairman of the Koninklijke Vereniging De Friesche Elf Steden. The 62-year-old Frisian will succeed Wiebe Wieling at the end of this year. Bakker is proud and honored to take over the chairman’s gavel from Wieling. “There is only one thing more beautiful than being chairman, and that is the day the Elfstedentocht can be held again.”
